This location is a great size, not too much space to travel, but has a good mix of backdrops with classic architecture and greenery. It's also quiet most days, but it is unavailable on Sundays.

Moncus Park

2913 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503

A well known and well loved location in Lafayette, Moncus park has several different areas which could give you a variety of backdrops. It's beautiful and well maintained, with some areas that have a little more overgrown feel as well. Keep in mind, the park does tend to get busy, and requires a bit of walking.

Broussard Sports Complex

An excellent spot for a family session. In a small area of the park, you can find a wooded section and a couple of small ponds.

South Louisiana Community College

320 Devalcourt St. Lafayette LA 70506

This has quickly become one of my favorite locations. The school has large live oak trees, and several fields. It's beautiful and quiet on the weekends.

Acadiana Park

1005 E. Alexander St. Lafayette, LA 70501

A little more walking is involved in this location, but it has the best wooded walking trails for a session, and it won't require you to walk a distance into the trees. Also there are fields!

UL Alumni Center

600 E St Mary Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70503

This location is a great size, not too much space to travel, but with lots of variation. You'll find greenery, buildings, flowers, bridges, iron gates, and the Hillard Museum is just next door.

They require a $25 fee for half an hour.

Downtown Lafayette

As vague as this location sounds, it's become one of my favorite locations for Senior sessions. There are several different murals, parking garages, green areas, are so many different types of architecture.

Magnolia Greenhouse

678 Piat Rd, Youngsville, LA 70592

This charming location is very small, but great for a session with only a couple of people. The decorations within the greenhouse are changed with the holidays and seasons.

They require a $50 fee.

Southside Park - Lafayette Parish Bayou Vermilion District

2201 Robley Dr, Lafayette, LA 70503

This is an excellent spot for an outdoor session, especially with children. several wooded areas, a body of water, a gazebo, a field, a wooden fence, and a large section covered in ivy. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite locations.

Jungle Gardens

Louisiana 329 &, Main Rd, Avery Island, LA 70513

This location is absolutely gorgeous and so large. They have all different types of plant life and buildings and bodies of water.

They require a $50 fee and a travel fee of $25 would also be expected.

Acadian Village

200 Greenleaf Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506

This location is very much local to our area, with so many different historic houses, a chapel, bridges and ponds. It really is an excellent site for engagement or senior sessions.

-during normal business hours: $60.00 for 1.5 hours

Monday-Saturday, 10am–3pm—(Must vacate the premises by 4:15 pm)

-outside normal business hours Monday-Saturday without accompanied event: $100.

-Sunday fee: $150

Rip Van Winkle Gardens

This location is absolutely gorgeous and so large. They have all different types of plant life and buildings and bodies of water. Perfect for a bridal party, or a an engagement session, or even for families.

They require a fee of $50.00 per hour and a travel fee of $25 would also be expected.
